For those who are daring enough to camp at the park overnight, Rowlett Creek Preserve offers primitive camping with some amenities. With numerous river and forest trails, the preserve has a natural beauty that is perfect for your next camping trip.
If you are looking to take the adventure outdoors, Rowlett Creek Preserve offers a myriad of activities from fishing and swimming to biking and running. To make it easier on you, it will take you one hour, five minutes from Fort Worth, Texas to the park.
Rowlett Creek Preserve includes the following amenities and activities. For the activities, be prepared for the thrilling stacked loop trail system and 14 looped trails. Also, for cross country runners and nature lovers, a perfect for off-road biking and hiking is included. The trails are rated easy to challenging and many of the trails lead you through forests, creeks, ravines, and over streams.
In addition, Rowlett Creek Preserve has some great activities for your outdoor experience such as canoeing or kayaking on Lake Ray Roberts in December-March.
For the amenities, a medium-sized Gazebo with (2) picnic areas with a grill and portable restrooms are prepared for your comfort. Additionally, Rowlett Creek Preserve offers a disc golf course for adventurous people out there.
This beautiful park also has activities such as disc golf and canoeing or kayaking on Lake Ray Roberts. The preserve also has a large playground with swings, a climbing wall, and plenty of shade.
Rowlett Creek Preserve is managed by the Dallas County Park & Recreation Department and is open daily from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
