Respite service is a contractor service available for qualified applicants who are eager to assist our families with IDD individuals. The word Respite literally means ‘rest’. Being a primary caregiver to an individual with IDD can be tough. Respite care is short-term relief to those caregivers. Each individual’s needs are different and specialized. Berry Family Services equips you with the training and tools you need to provide quality services to the individual you serve.
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalency, or pass a competency test with three letters of recommendation
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required if transportation is required
Duties will and/or might include:
- Grocery shopping
- Administering Medication
- Community activities
- Medical Visits
- Behavior interventions
